Lenovo signs a multi-year deal to develop HPC and AI with Intel

Intel Corp., an American multinational tech company, has recently announced a multi-year collaboration with Chinese multinational Lenovo Group Limited, to advance the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) to solve the world's most complex issues.

According to reliable reports, leading system provider of ‘TOP500’ supercomputers, Lenovo would optimize Intel's full collection of AI and HPC software and hardware solutions, which would develop the foundation for its market strategy.

Speaking on the move, Kirk Skaugen, Executive Vice President, Lenovo and President of Lenovo Data Center Group, said that the company aims to fast-track innovation into the 'Exascale' era, aggressively offering these solutions to scientists and businesses of all proportions to accelerate discovery and inventions.

As per Navin Shenoy, Executive Vice President, Intel and General Manager of the Data Center Group, the company is dedicated to help their users create new discovery and innovation with the incorporation of AI with HPC.

For the record, Lenovo's Neptune liquid cooling, combined with the 2nd generation Intel Xeon Scalable platform, is helping customers unleash new data insights. Additionally, the collaboration plans to emphasis on three sections i.e. ecosystem enablement, software optimization for AI and HPC convergence and systems and solutions, cite reports.

For the uninitiated, Lenovo has a market reach of over 160 countries and is dedicated to transform its users' experience with technology by further innovating augmented intelligence technology, capable of elevating and enhancing human capability.

The company has managed to record revenues worth $43 billion and claims to sell four devices per second, which is possible due to a highly adaptive multi-business strategy and an unmatched efficiency, driven by their scale and end-to-end control over supply chain.
