Midis acquires MAGNOOS to expand its Digital System Integrator profile

Midis SI Group, the system integration & service subsidiary of MIDIS Group, has reportedly announced its acquisition of MAGNOOS, a leading Software Value Added Reseller (VAR) & technology implementation firm. Sources close to the matter stated that the acquisition will help Midis SI to strengthen its offerings as well as capabilities as a Digital System Integrator.

For those uninitiated, although MAGNOOS is based in Abu Dhabi, the company operates in Middle East & Africa (MEA), and has a presence in Athens, Egypt, India, and Saudi Arabia. The firm is led by Michael Halas, the founder, who is reportedly expected to join Midis SI Group as Managing Partner of MAGNOOS following the acquisition.

Sources further cited that MANGOOS will work closely with MDS AP and other affiliates of Midis SI to enhance their market reach and strengthen the presence of MAGNOOS in Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Sami Abi Esber, President of Midis SI reportedly stated that this acquisition will strengthen the company’s capabilities in analytics and Big Data domain. He added that the joint venture will also help in shifting their focus towards creating strong digital ecosystem and reinforce their offerings and services in in AI/ML, AutoML space with ML Ops.

Speaking of the move, Michael Halas, Managing Partner of MAGNOOS, mentioned in a comment the acquisition will allow the two companies to expand their portfolios in the areas such as data management & analytics, digital business automation and digital service management systems.
