Rohde & Schwarz ties up with Tutela to combine mobile network solutions

Both the companies have reportedly signed an MoU which would provide Tutela with access to Rohde & Schwarz NQDI database structure and Rohde & Schwarz with access to crowdsourced data of Tutela

German technology group Rohde & Schwarz has teamed up with a prominent mobile network crowdsourcing test firm, Tutela, to combine drive test and crowdsourced mobile network QoE test solution. As per trusted sources, the partnership aims to bring thorough insight into quality and network performance to the mobile industry.

Vice President of Rohde & Schwarz mobile network testing, Hanspeter Bobst was reportedly quoted saying that Tutela has established itself as the leader in crowdsourced mobile network testing. Rohde & Schwarz is delighted to team up with Tutela to integrate its products into the firm’s portfolio and offer the most thorough insight to customers into end user QoE on the market, Bobst further added.

Both the companies have reportedly signed a Memorandum of Understanding which would provide Tutela with access to Rohde & Schwarz NQDI database structure and Rohde & Schwarz with access to crowdsourced data of Tutela. Moreover, Rohde & Schwarz would be able to utilize Tutela’s data within its own test and measurement solutions.

The Chief Executive Officer of Tutela, Hunter Macdonald reportedly commented that the firm is delighted to be working with Rohde & Schwarz to widen the range of networking test and measurement tools currently available to joint customers.

Tutela’s crowdsourced data would complement the data collected via Rohde & Schwarz’s strong field testing equipment and services to provide consumers with round the clock monitoring and benchmarking through crowdsourcing combined with the unparalleled precision and depth of field testing, Macdonald further added.

According to a press release by Rohde & Schwarz, Tutela’s network gathers more than 30 billion mobile quality measurements each day, from over 250 million devices across, more than any other crowdsourcing test firm.
